What called you to lead this retreat and what are you most excited to share with this group?
I had the experience of leading Costa Rica 2026. I had been on a retreat before, but this was my first time actually getting to lead. I took the opportunity because it was there, but having the chance to go back means so much. I cannot wait to share Nosara, Costa Rica with more of the Dose community. Costa Rica's laid-back rhythm, paired with its spirit of adventure, really sets the tone of the retreat so beautifully.
What do you hope students feel or take home with them after this experience?
I hope that students remind themselves how capable they are of connection, not only to themselves but to others around them. Watching the students connect on the 2026 trip was such a beautiful experience. I think we all need that reminder that when we slow down, connection has time to grow.
Outside of yoga, what lights you up or inspires you right now?
While yoga is the shining star in my wellness focused life, I have been loving leaning into other wellness modalities. Pilates, eating whole foods, and meditating has been big on my list lately. Do not get me wrong, I also love a concert, a night out with mezcal cocktails and yummy small plates, and staying up late to binge watch the latest true crime drama. It is truly all about balance.
How would you describe your teaching style or energy in three words?
My teaching style leans towards strong, focused, and steady, thanks to my practice and love for Iyengar Yoga. Mixed with the heat and flow of Vinyasa Yoga, my goal is to guide through proper alignment and encourage all students to get to a space they are proud of, no matter how new they are to the practice.
